You all know how I love my glitter gradients and it seems like a lot of you guys get a kick out of them too whenever I post them, so here’s ol’ righty with some pretty glitter gradients & accent nails! I’d say about 90% of the times that I’m too lazy to replicate the designs of my left hand, I end up doing glitter gradients on my right hand… they’re so pretty and sparkly and they look so cool with basically no effort. I’m thinking about filming my first VIDEO TUTORIAL for these over the weekend, would you guys be pumped about that?
Happy Friday! Here are some cutesy dotty heart nails! These were fun to do and I’m pretty happy with how they came out. I’m considering doing lots of smaller hearts made of dots next time. Also, the base color is Revlon Cloud and it is probably the prettiest color I own. NO EXAGGERATION (okay maybe a little exaggeration). I did some nails over the weekend that kinda look like an ancient Aztec sort of pattern. At least I think so. What do you guys think? These nails are based on a pillowcase I had while I was staying with my brother and best friend in San Francisco. I had been wanting to do them ever since I got there and saw the pillowcase but didn’t have time until the last night I was there (Friday). We stayed up all night since we had to leave really early for the airport (and had been on the night shift anyway) and around 3:30 AM we had a nail painting party. I was so pumped to be able to do nail art again. These were really fun to do, I feel like I usually do really precise designs and these were kind of random and messy, which was a nice change of pace!

These nails are based on the dress in the second picture, which I fell in love with as soon as I put it on… unfortunately the stupid strap broke so I haven’t been able to wear it for a while because I’m too lazy to fix it haha. I love how the pattern is kind of random and messy but also orderly and symmetrical. I had a lot of fun doing this mani, it was nice to not worry about my lines being perfect for once and I love the color and pattern combos! Also the berry color on my ring finger matches the berry color on the dress in person, but my camera didn’t believe me when I tried to tell it that. We’re having this strange gross cold snap right now and I’m bummed because otherwise I would have fixed the dress and worn it with matching nails today. BOO.

So I was browsing through my personal Tumblr yesterday and one of the people I follow posted this pic and of course I was immediately like I WANNA PAINT THAT ON MY NAILS which is basically what happens every time I see a cool pattern now. So I did. I don’t know why but these nails were SO fun to paint and I really love how they came out. Also my nails have literally never been this long. Also also, round nails now!!

dotted swirls! i think these ended up looking like mosaics and i like them, you almost can’t tell they’re swirls from far away until you look up close and then the pattern appears. i basically want to do this 10 more times in all different color combos just to see how it looks! i really love repeating patterns, especially ones that are found in nature like fractals, snail shells, etc. that light blue was a disaster to apply, though. it’s pretty as hell but it took FOUR really careful coats and i kept dinging my nails cuz the polish was so thick.

here is a photo of my nail polish haul from the past 2 weeks. this is normal right? this is normal. NO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH BUYING TOO MUCH NAIL POLISH.
most of this was on clearance/sale though so like whatever. i just can’t pass up a good bargain! it’s in my genetics, i can’t defy my genetics!
when i get home i’ll make a little list of all the names of the colors in case anyone is interested… that is unless i’m too busy playing scrabble and putting 800 coats of glitter on my fingernails.
