These were inspired by the flowers at the bottom of Gustav Klimt’s painting The Kiss. They were super fun to do and I love how they turned out. I had a hard time choosing which part of the painting to replicate on my nails last night - it’s so full of pretty patterns I may have to do a whole series on it sometime soon! Check out the full post for more pictures and info.

Hey guys! I did some nails based on this cute pillow that I found over at this blog full of cool patterns. They were super fun and easy and I think they’re kinda cute! What do y’all think? Did you know there are more pictures at my blog? I BET YOU DID!

Edit: I don’t know why tumblr is cutting the pillow image in half like that. STUPID TUMBLR. If you click on it you can see the whole image and how cute it is!

Neon and nude roses! These were super easy and fun to do and I love the combo of the nude with the neon pink. This mani is loosely based off this one I did a couple months ago. If you wanna read more and see more pix, just go hang out at my blawg!

I decided to go over the flowers in white to see how it looked and oh god I love these nails so much now. They are so pretty and fresh and girly and I love these colors together. I realized I got so excited about summer colors that I kind of skipped over pretty springy pastels and now I want ALL OF THEM on my nails at all times. These nails were a pain to get a good picture of for some reason though. My camera kept wanting to blend the white into the pastels… maybe because they are so light? Who knows oh well I LOVE THEM.

Also I am wearing this shirt today so my nails match my clothes omg.

Okay okay, now some actual nAiL aRt for y’all. I’ve been wanting to do nails based off this shirt for a long time but I was waiting until I got a good off-white cream polish and I finally got one this week so I knew it was TIME. I’m really happy with how the actual pattern turned out but unfortunately the off-white doesn’t show up quite as well as I wanted it to. I still like them a lot, though, I can’t even help it. The pattern is subtle enough that it almost looks like fabric or a stamp or something on my nails and from far away they just look really girly and pretty and pastel. I think if I have time before the base color chips I’ll probably go over the pattern in white to see how it looks but for now I’m happy with these!

China Glaze - Re-fresh-mint
Essie - A Crewed Interest
Orly - Pure Porcelain

These nails are based on a pillowcase I had while I was staying with my brother and best friend in San Francisco. I had been wanting to do them ever since I got there and saw the pillowcase but didn’t have time until the last night I was there (Friday). We stayed up all night since we had to leave really early for the airport (and had been on the night shift anyway) and around 3:30 AM we had a nail painting party. I was so pumped to be able to do nail art again. These were really fun to do, I feel like I usually do really precise designs and these were kind of random and messy, which was a nice change of pace!

China Glaze - For Audrey (turquoise), Shower Together (teal), White on White
OPI - Skull & Glossbones (gray base and darker gray, mixed with black), Did It On ‘Em (chartreuse)
Sephora by OPI - Domestic Goddess (purple)
Wet n’ Wild - Black Creme

I’ve always wanted a tattoo of an infinity symbol because I’m super into the idea of the connectedness/ultimate sameness of everything. And the other day I got to thinking about that Lauryn Hill song where she says “everything is everything/what is meant to be will be/after winter must come spring/change comes eventually” and it made me think about doing an infinity symbol tattoo out of vines and flowers (I guess because of the reference to spring?), so of course I decided to put it on my nails first. :)
China Glaze - Fast Track (base color, SO pretty), Grape Pop (purple), Shower Together (blue), Starboard (dark green)Essie - Navigate Her (light green)Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Fuchsia Power (pink)

I mattified these nails from yesterday because, well, I couldn’t help myself. And also isn’t almost everything better matte?

I'm Whitney. I'm 27. I paint my nails and then I take pictures of them and then I post those pictures on the Internet!
