Dressed Up Nails

Anonymous asked: hello, i love love love your nail designs! but i dont understand something, you must put a lot of layers of varnish on your nails, and when i try and re-make some of you designs they end up being really gunky on my nails and then they smudge, how do i stop that? any advice?xx

Hi, thank you!! I do put a lot of layers on (the last manicure I posted had 8 haha). My best recommendation would be to do thin coats of your base color and wait a few minutes for each coat to dry a little before you put the next one on. Then after you do your design, wait a whiiiiile before topcoating - I usually wait a minimum of 30 minutes but usually an hour or longer while I read or watch TV before I topcoat because I HATE smudging my designs. Also try using a thick topcoat like Seche Vite - it smears way less than thinner topcoats. Hope this helps! :)
