DUDE! This message is seriously one of the best things I’ve ever gotten haha. Thank you SO MUCH!! Please let me know if you decide to try any of my designs cuz I’d really love to check them out!
You GUYS. This is the only nail art I’ve managed to accomplish since I’ve been in San Francisco. I’ve been working 12-14 hours EVERY DAY and after eating, sleeping and showering that leaves literally no time for any fun hobbies. I did these nails LAST Friday (as in 10 days ago!!!) and only just now found the time to edit, watermark and post them. AHH. I fly home on Saturday and all I want to do is take a week off and do my nails three times a day, I can’t even lie.
Anyway, I was at Target a couple weeks ago in one of my few free hours of the weekend and I spotted two Essie polishes and was immediately like HEY I want those, I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen them before! So I asked Google to show me them and it turned out I hadn’t ever seen them before because they’re part of the new summer collection that I didn’t even know about. I picked up Bikini So Teeny (a gorgeous shimmery light blue) and Mojito Madness, which is the green in these nails. I LOVE this color green so much and the formula was beautiful, a tiny bit thick but leveled out nicely and covered wonderfully in 2 coats.
I was going to just leave my nails plain with the pointer/middle finger accent nails and reversed on the right hand, but I wanted to do a little bit of nail art. I almost did polka dots, but I was sleepy and dots always smear on me if I don’t wait an hour to topcoat, so I just did a lil stripe on each nail and called it a day. I loved these nails! And I had to include a pic of both hands because I liked the way the reversal looked together.
Don’t give up on me, guys! I’m still around and I will be back for real so soon!!!
P.S. Sorry I just wrote a novel, can you tell how much I miss you guys? Do you feel the love? All of the love?

Hey! Here I am! Well… sort of. I THINK I might have time to paint my nails later today before I go to work that night shift, but just in case I don’t, I decided to just go ahead and post this simple mani that I did last week. This is literally the only time I’ve painted my nails since the pinwheel-y nails I posted like… what, two weeks ago? My nails have been BARE for so long and it’s the saddest thing ever but damn do 12-hour days take it out of you. Especially when you’re on a weird sleep schedule. My nails were so long when I painted them like this but they have since broken and I had to file them off, but they’re still not nubbins so yay! Also sorry the photo quality isn’t quite the same as usual, this was just a quick iPhone pic I took to show my sister :)
Anyway I just basically wanted to let you guys know I’m still alive and I am trying really hard to find the time/energy to do nail art again because ugh I miss it so hard!

Haha that’s awesome! I’ve definitely had a couple times when I’ve seen someone do nails really similar to mine or I’ve had an idea and then someone else has executed it before I did. I’d love to see yours if you have them posted anywhere! And thank you! :)
I’ve been in San Francisco for work since Friday morning and not only is there a 3-hour time difference between here and Georgia, but I also switched to the night schedule over the weekend so I’m running on very little sleep and have been waking up at 1:30 AM to go to work. Needless to say I’m exhausted and my nails nave been UNPAINTED since yesterday afternoon :’( I feel so naked and sad. I’m hoping I get adjusted in the next day or so. Just wanted to let you guys know I’m still alive and stuff and I can’t WAIT to get my energy back so I can paint my nails again. I’ll be back really soon!!!!
Oh and p.s. HI NEW FOLLOWERZ! I reached 2000 followers this morning YAY YOU GUYS ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! SO EXCITING. Sorry you all joined me just as I was taking my exhaustion hiatus but I promise it will all be worth it soon! CUZ I’LL BE BRINGING YOU SOME SW33T NAILZ!

Thank you! I may do a real tutorial on them later but I can explain pretty easily how I did them. I painted my nails white and then with a color I painted a thin line down the middle of my nail vertically, then a line down the middle of my nail horizontally. Then I drew two diagonal lines that split the quadrants in half (like a pizza). After that I just freehanded the patterns in each “slice”, alternating where I put the colors in each one. I hope this helps! If you do decide to try them, let me know, I’d love to see them :)
I did these nails on Wednesday night so usually I would have posted them yesterday but I was too busy running errands and packing to come to San Francisco today for a month (!) for work. So here they are now! I can’t even lie, I love these nails so much. Everyone in my house either left or fell asleep by 10:30 on Wednesday night so I just hung out and watched TV and took my sweet time doing my nails and it was so awesome. And this is what happened. And I’m really happy with it. THE END.

Hi, thank you! :) I got the dress at a store where I live (in Atlanta) called Junkman’s Daughter. I don’t know if you’d be able to buy it anywhere other than that though since there are only 2 of those stores (one here and one in Athens) and I don’t even know if they carry the same stuff! Disappointing :( But if you’re in Atlanta, definitely pay that store a visit, they have a lot of really cool unique stuff.

I’m going to assume you’re talking about glitter gradients since I’ve never posted a normal polish gradient :) they’re super easy! I do them a little differently depending on the glitter, but usually all I do is one light coat of glitter starting about 2/3 of the way down my nail and bring it up to the free edge. Then I do a thick coat of glitter at the tips and kind of fiddle with it until it looks like it’s fading into the thin coat of glitter. Hope this helped! I’ve gotten several questions about this so if I ever get around to doing tutorials I’ll probably do this one first :)
These nails are based on the dress in the second picture, which I fell in love with as soon as I put it on… unfortunately the stupid strap broke so I haven’t been able to wear it for a while because I’m too lazy to fix it haha. I love how the pattern is kind of random and messy but also orderly and symmetrical. I had a lot of fun doing this mani, it was nice to not worry about my lines being perfect for once and I love the color and pattern combos! Also the berry color on my ring finger matches the berry color on the dress in person, but my camera didn’t believe me when I tried to tell it that. We’re having this strange gross cold snap right now and I’m bummed because otherwise I would have fixed the dress and worn it with matching nails today. BOO.
